Global Queer News

December 11-18, 2020

State of the World…

We broke through this week!

There’s so much to celebrate - Bhutan decriminalized homosexuality, England changed their blood donation rules, Northern Ireland held its first religious same-sex wedding, the United States reaffirmed parental rights, Switzerland is on its final vote before passing marriage equality, ski champion Hig Roberts came out as gay, and Romania ruled that prohibting education about sex, gender, and gender identity is unconstitutional.

It took countless hours and sustained effort to make each of these decisions happen. Thank you LGBTI+ activists for ending 2020 on a high note!
