State of the World…

This was a week of variance. 

In positive news, top health officials have stated that COVID-19 vaccines are safe for people living with HIV, the LGBTQ community in Thailand continues to be a leader in the fight for equality, Spain saw a record number of same-sex marriages last year, and Lambda Legal and Immigration Equality challenged a new Trump “death to asylum" rule in the United States

Unfortunately, revelations also came out that Amazon may be allowing anti-LGBT organizations to flourish, Uganda detained a leading lawyer for LGBT rights, and gay couples in the United States faced insurance policy hurdles when trying to start a family.

These revelations are important to realize in a time of reflection and renewal. It reaffirms how we live into our value of accountability throughout our ongoing social movement.
