State of the World…

This week brought us hope in the midst of systematic government resistance.

The Supreme Court in Mexico will rule next week in a case that could resolve marriage equality nationwide, an LGBT group in Ghana opened an office in Accra, and the United States extended federal housing protections to LGBT persons.

However, we saw major division and arrests this week as the civil partnership bill in Thailand hit a roadblock, LGBT protesters were arrested in Tunisia, a gender identity bill in Spain caused anger, and legislators in the United States sought to ban trans people from sports and nonbinary identity on state IDs.

They cannot ban us out of existence! We will continue our fight every week until we get the justice and rights we are entitled to simply by being human.
