The COVID Cocoon is a nickname given for the phenomenon of people discovering their gender diversity during the pandemic environment. Transgender people aren’t just ‘out of the closet’ in their personal lives, but at work as well. Unfortunately, they have long faced significant discrimination in the workplace and it’s up to employers to proactively work towards a more inclusive environment, which benefits the organization as well as the individual.

This report synthesizes current research, pop culture, DEI and human resources expertise, and the input of survey participants to reveal:
