State of the World…

This has been a week of defiance for LGBTI+ rights!

At the Olympics, LGBTQ athletes have unleashed a rainbow wave. In fact, openly LGBTQ Olympians would rank 14th in medal wins if they were a country.

In Hungary, tens of thousands defied the president’s LGBT content ban with a Pride parade in Budapest, LGBT+ campaigners in the United Kingdom demanded inclusion at the first Reclaim Pride march, and a United States federal appeals court ruled against a web designer who didn't want to make same-sex wedding websites.

Unfortunately, the situation in Ghana is getting worse as a new bill would imprison LGBT people for 10 years. In addition to this, Lufthansa prevented a passenger from flying with a rainbow mask.

Organizing works - we must stand together and continue to push for our rights and freedom. We wish you a safe, happy, and healthy week ahead!
