State of the World…

It’s time to celebrate the major victories in LGBTI+ rights this week!

Chile’s Congress approved the same-sex marriage bill! Trans candidates made history with big wins in Bangladesh and Chile, Honduras welcomed its first openly gay legislator to Congress, and Canada's House of Commons voted unanimously to ban LGBT conversion therapy.

At the same time, China's queer internet is being erased, the Hungarian parliament cleared way for the government's LGBT referendum as the election nears, and in Qatar, amid ongoing human rights concerns the World Cup chief promised that the host nation is 'tolerant' and 'welcoming'.

There has been so much backlash and struggle this year, yet our actions do create positive changes in our societies. Stay kind, happy, and healthy in the week ahead!

Note: A special thank you to Rex Wockner for compiling Int'l LGBTQI news.
