State of the World…

This week saw great advancement for LGBTI+ rights globally.

The International Olympic Committee issued new guidelines on transgender athletes, China opened its first clinic for transgender youth, India is set to appoint its first openly gay judge, and Spain extended free in vitro fertilization to lesbians, bisexual women, single women and other people with gestational capacity.

Additionally, supporters and opponents faced off over Ghana's anti-LGBT law, LGBT+ veterans in the United Kingdom sought redress for sackings, and hundreds of Facebook groups in the United States stoked outrage over school policies like inclusive curricula.

We must continue to unite in order to create societies that are safe, just, and inclusive of all.
